Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai’s one of the major Railway Station, designed in Italian Gothic style by Architect F W Stevens. It is one of Mumbai's most prominent buildings and architecturally one of the finest stations in the world. The building construction commenced in 1878 and was completed in 1885. Drive down and visit Chowpatty Beach, Mumbai's famous beach and Hangout. There is NO place for sunbathe or taking a dip. In fact, there's not much going on at Chowpatty at all during the day, but in the evening it develops a magical atmosphere as locals come to stroll among the balloon sellers, fortune tellers, magicians, nut vendors, ferries wheels and shooting galleries. Ranakpur Jain Temples are with the amazing sculptural Beauties. Among them most popular is Chaumukha Temple. There are four faces which point four different sides. The temple is devoted to Adinath the first Tirthankar of Jain religion. The compound has two Non-Jain temples, A Sun Temple and the temple of Amba Mata. Ranakpur is a fabulous 500-year-old Jain Temples. The temples are superbly preserved in near perfect condition. The most distinctive feature are the 29 halls of the main temple, some octagonal and many more than one story high, are dissected by 1444 pillars, each sculpted with unique designs which no two are the exactly alike. The carving on the walls while, musicians and dancers have been modeled out of brackets between the pillars and the ceiling are amazing. After visit of Ranakpur Jain Temples; resume driving and arrive Jodhpur. This bustling desert city is the second largest in Rajasthan after Jaipur. It was founded by Rao Jodha, the leader of the Rathore clan, known as Rathores in 1459 AD. The Rathore Kingdom was once known as Marwar – the Land of Death, the mammoth, imposing fortress (Meherangarh) has a landscape dominating a rocky ridge with the eight gates leading out of fortress. The new city is outside the structure. Fatehpol also meaning victory gate was built by Maharaja Ajit Singh to mark the defeat of Mughals. The palm imprints still attract devotional attention and are covered by vermilion paste and paper-thin silver foil. Your last monument for the day will be JASWANT THADA – on the way down from the Fort, on left is Jaswant Thada, the graceful marble cenotaph of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. His son Maharaja Sardar Singh built this monument known as the Taj Mahal of Marwar in the memory of Maharaj Jaswant Singh II of Jodhpur. It is an integral part of the City Palace, an extension of the Zenana [women's chambers] where the royal ladies lived in seclusion and observed life on the outside without showing themselves.
