In the afternoon, proceed for a half day tour of Jaipur and visit the JantarMantar, the largest of Maharaja Jai Singh's remarkable Observatories- still in perfect working condition. Its complex instruments, whose setting and shapes are scientifically designed, represent the high points of medieval Indian astronomy. Later, visit the Maharaja's City Palace, once a formal residence of the royal family, built in a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.
